FMM is seeking an Accounting Assistant at our Denham Springs office location. FMM is a maintenance and construction company servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide.

Job Responsibilities: (Included but not limited to)

• Receiving and entering vendor invoices into our accounting software
• Reconciling vendor invoices
• Performing daily data entry in accounting software
• Assisting with the management of vendor payments
• Assisting with payroll
• Assisting with quarterly sales tax filing and payments
• Assisting with end of the year preparation and distribution of W2s and 1099s
• Occasionally transport items to clients, banks, or professional associates

Required skills and abilities:

• Proficient in excel
• Knowledge of Quickbooks or similar accounting program
• Team player mentality
• Fast learner in a fast paced environment
• Possess a high level of discretion with sensitive and confidential information

Education and Experience:

• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience
• 5 years experience in a professional setting

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
