Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr

About the Role

IHS seeks a caring and qualified professional with accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Receivable (AR) or Accounts Payable (AP). Summary: Responsible for providing accounting support to the finance department. Key duties include maintaining general ledger worksheets, handling accounts payable, and assisting employees with payments and invoices. This is a part-time position during normal business hours.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate excellent customer service aligned with the organizations Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Perform accounting and clerical functions supporting the finance team.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies, missing receipts, and invoices.
• Compile and process invoices and checks.
• Code, prepare, and issue checks for accounts payable.
• Record business transactions and update the general ledger system daily.
• Receive, record, and process funds received through Kokua Accounts.
• Provide front desk customer service to employees in need of assistance.
• Protect and safeguard confidential financial information.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to two years of accounting experience with general ledger functions and supporting accounting staff in a busy office setting.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, and experience with accounting software.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in Accounting or
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program.
