Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to support the mental health and wellness of elementary students within an educational setting. The Mental Health and Wellness Associate will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary school team, providing essential mental health services to students, staff, and families through a multi-tiered intervention framework. The position runs from August 13th, 2025, to December 19th, 2025, under a contract for the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic strategies and interventions tailored to elementary students needs.
• Support student mental health through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach activities.
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote a positive school environment.
• Participate in case consultations and clinical supervision as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
• Alternatively, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials are accepted.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
• Commitment to supporting student mental health and well-being.

Clinical supervision from a licensed clinician meeting Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements is available to support candidates accruing hours toward full licensure.
