Job Description

Seeking a full-time paraprofessional with behavior specialist skills for the 2025-2026 school year in Pawtucket, RI. This role supports elementary and high school students, providing assistance in general and special education classrooms. The position is a contract role spanning from August 26, 2025, through June 15, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional delivery and classroom management
• Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of certified professionals
• Assist students with academic, social, and behavioral needs
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations with teaching staff
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or behavior specialist in an educational setting
• Rhode Island Teaching Assistant Certificate is preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively with elementary and high school students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Duration: August 26, 2025 June 15, 2026 (school year contract)
Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour
