Base Salary: $105,000 - $125,000
Bonus: 10-15% performance-based
Total Potential Compensation: Up to $143,750 annually

This isn't your typical back-office role. You'll be front and center, working hand-in-hand with leadership to shape financial strategy, streamline operations, and support smart, sustainable growth. What You'll Do - Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Analyze financial statements and logistics-specific KPIs to drive smarter business decisions
- Develop annual budgets and forecasts for routes, terminals, and fleet operations
- Manage cash flow, A/R, A/P, and banking relationships
- Lead audits, tax filings (IFTA, IL EPA), and regulatory reporting
- Supervise payroll and benefits administration
- Identify gaps in current processes and recommend improvements
- Optimize pricing models and driver compensation strategies
- Lead BI and data initiatives to modernize financial systems
- Partner with operations teams to align goals and drive performance
- Mentor and lead a small accounting/finance team
Requirements - 5+ years in a senior accounting, Controller, or finance leadership role
- Experience drayage or intermodal-is REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and logistics-specific finance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Proven ability to build models, analyze trends, and offer actionable insights
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a big plus; AI/automation experience even better
