POSITION: Corporate Communications Coordinator

REPORTS TO : Corporate Communications Manager

COMPENSATION: Salary, Benefits

LOCATION: on-site with travel up to 10%

SUMMARY
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in developing and executing communication strategies that strengthen our brand, enhance employee engagement, and elevate our storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in internal and external communications, content creation, and analytics, along with a passion for crafting messages that inspire connection and align with organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the EVP and Communications Manager to plan, coordinate, and implement communication strategies that support the organization's goals and brand identity.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread engaging content for company newsletters, articles, one-pagers, company websites, and other communication materials.
  • Develop innovative ways to highlight the stories of our employees, residents, and community impact.
  • Write, edit, and publish content for the intranet, including articles, announcements, and updates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the organization's mission and values.
  • Help support senior leaders by developing presentations, talking points, and messages for meetings and events.
  • Work with the EVP and Communications Manager to help coordinate media requests and follow up.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives; prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create visual assets and resize images for use across web, email, and internal communication platforms.
  • Assist with crisis communications by drafting templates and timely updates as needed.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent communication across all channels.
  • Assist with other external and internal communications duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in corporate communications.
  • A strong writer with the ability to create compelling content that resonates with target audiences with proficiency in AP Style preferred.
  • Proficiency in content strategy, including message development, audience identification, and brand voice.
  • Proficiency in Canva, WordPress, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop).
  • Experience using internal communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, ContactMonkey, or similar) and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to improve communication outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with leadership.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus

WORK CONDITIONS

You are required to work in enclosed office spaces in a climate-controlled environment. Noise levels will be moderate due to office equipment, foot traffic, telephones, and meetings. This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, employees must be able to engage in routine physical activities, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, squatting, and using their hands for typing and handling materials.

Employees must be capable of lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds and possess adequate visual abilities, including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required for training, property support, or other job-related needs.
