Director of Retail Sales Kroger

General Summary: As a leading global food company, JBS seeks a dynamic individual with strong leadership and communication skills to drive sales plans and foster effective relationships across multiple business units. This role requires a proactive approach to managing customer communications, resolving issues, and supporting innovation planning by understanding and addressing customer needs. The ideal candidate will champion improvements in product, process, and programs while embracing and encouraging the values of JBS within the team.

This position will be based in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead Sales Plans to achieve volume, invoice dollars, profit and share objectives
2. Partner with multiple JBS business units to support our product lines in the beef and pork space
3. Meet weekly with Kroger team, acting as the main point of contact for the company, and be able to have effective relationships at multiple levels within Kroger
4. Accountable for all customer communication related to assigned products
5. Ability to outline and forecast promotional and turn volume
6. Responsible for deduction resolution and reduction, retail analysis and reporting, customer service, transportation and claims in partnership with inside sales and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) teams
7. Accountable for potential management of broker services, managing day to day activities, effective sales/reporting; including forecasting, promotional activities, correcting out of stocks and distribution voids, tracking and reporting competitive activities, analyzing the category mix to optimize performance
8. Communicate goal performance status and corrective actions monthly
9. Responsible for achieving new product sell-in goals including; new item presentations, approval of sales material, ordering samples, tracking distribution sell-in, planning retailer Ads/TPRs, prioritizing consumer demand generation support, forecasting and filling orders
10. Supports innovation planning by communicating customers needs to influence new product concept development, pricing and distribution goals setting
11. Analyze seasonal trends and consumer purchasing data to influence key business decisions including SKU rationalizations
12. Champions improvements in product, process and programs

14. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree required
2. 7-10 years of Retail experience Broad exposure to multiple Customers a plus, Kroger experience a plus
3. 7-10 years of fresh meat and CPG direct sales experience preferred
4. Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
5. Excellent verbal and written skills a must
6. Ability to navigate individual business line focus (Multiple Business Unit personnel and Field Teams), while aligning JBS initiatives with Customer strategies and goals to win in the marketplace
7. Proven excellence in negotiations
8. Ability to analyze syndicated data and provide insights. Experience with category management and implementation with retail sets a plus for achieving Customer and JBS goals
9. Retail perishable Fresh Meat or other commodity experience preferred but not required
10. Travel ability is required
11. Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

1. Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
2. Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
3. 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
4. Base salary range of $140,000 $190,000, negotiable with relevant experience;
5. Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Companys annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
