Job Title: Electrical Construction Designer Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Company: STS Technical Services Position Overview: STS Technical Services is actively seeking a talented Electrical Construction Designer to support our growing Electrical Engineering teams in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems with precision and efficiency. Your work will include creating detailed drawings, performing fill calculations, and collaborating closely with production teams to bring our projects to life. Key Responsibilities: Conduit & Cable Tray Calculations: Perform conduit, cable tray, and wireway fill calculations to ensure efficient and safe electrical installations. Technical Drawings: Produce accurate and detailed drawings that depict raceway and equipment layouts, providing clear guidance for our Production teams. Material Prefabrication: Create comprehensive lists of materials needed for prefabrication to streamline project timelines. Construction Documentation: Develop labels, panel schedules, and other necessary documentation to support construction processes. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Quality Control, and other Engineering teams to address design-related questions and ensure project success. Qualifications: Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Collaborative Work Ethic: Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with Engineers, Production teams, Quality Control, and other departments. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel between facilities in Milwaukee as needed. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with the installation of conduit, wire, and related electrical equipment.
