Job Title: Food Scientist - Dietary Supplements & Personal Care

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Scientist to join our growing Research & Development (R&D) team. This role is responsible for the formulation, development, and technical support of innovative nutraceutical and personal care products . This involves formulation development, project ownership, and technical support from ideation through commercialization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and bring hands-on experience with both client-driven projects and internal innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop new nutraceutical and personal care products including capsules, powdered beverages, oils, tinctures, lotions, and creams.
• Support internal innovation and client-driven projects through bench-scale formulation, testing, documentation, and scale-up.
• Conduct ingredient research, supplier vetting, and feasibility studies.
• Maintain accurate formulation records, batch sheets, and development documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and compliance teams to ensure successful scale-up.
• Support stability studies, pilot trials, and process optimization.
• Participate in client discussions with account managers to provide technical guidance and updates.
• Ensure all formulas meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues during production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutritional Science, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or personal care product development.
• Strong knowledge of ingredient functionality and regulatory guidelines.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
• Hands-on experience with formulation and scale-up processes.
• Familiarity with analytical testing methods and manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in formulation software, Excel, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of GMP requirements in a manufacturing setting.
