What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing comprehensive academic frameworks that bridge learning science with practical implementation strategies for curriculum design, student motivation systems, and educational technology.
  • Orchestrating rigorous academic performance reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure cross-functional alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery of exceptional learning outcomes.
  • Transforming multi-source intelligence (data analytics, stakeholder interviews, classroom observations) into insightful academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical barriers to accelerated learning and prescribe targeted solutions.
  • Ensuring strategic cohesion through sophisticated planning processes, robust feedback mechanisms, and precise milestone tracking focused on measurable student achievement.
  • Serving as 2 Hour Learning's premier ambassador—from delivering compelling keynotes to negotiating with education ministries—catalyzing fundamental shifts in global education paradigms.

  • Generating theoretical research without direct application to student outcomes or operational excellence.
  • Outsourcing performance accountability to intermediary managers or external consultants.
  • Using institutional prestige or untested theories to influence critical stakeholders rather than evidence-based arguments.

Head Of Academic Innovation Key Responsibilities

Champion and expand 2 Hour Learning's innovative academic framework by orchestrating consistent implementation across diverse school environments, establishing industry-leading performance standards, and becoming the authoritative voice of an educational movement anchored in scientific rigor and demonstrable student success.

Basic Requirements

  • Advanced academic credentials (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or comparable discipline
  • Minimum 7 years spearheading academic or EdTech initiatives with documented exceptional learning outcomes
  • Demonstrated success leveraging AI or advanced technologies to enhance learning velocity and outcomes
  • Established thought leadership portfolio including media appearances, keynote presentations, publications, or advisory roles
  • Exceptional talent management capabilities with demonstrated ability to uphold rigorous standards among high-performing peers
  • Advanced proficiency in data interpretation for learning diagnostics and strategic intervention design
  • Natural aptitude for meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders including students, parents, and educational leaders

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial experience founding or directing an innovative educational model, experimental learning environment, or high-impact EdTech venture
  • Versatility in adapting to diverse cultural, political, or international educational ecosystems

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
