Home Health Billing/Payroll Specialist Location: Home Health, Chicago and Suburbs According to a recent AARP survey, 90% of Seniors prefer to recover in their homes. Our client is a Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval certified rapidly growing home health agency serving Chicago and Suburbs. The Billing/Payroll Specialist is responsible for the completion of accurate and timely medical providers Billing and processing payroll for office and field staff. The Billing/Payroll Specialist must have a broad understanding of the overall billing and collection processes and is able to identify breakdowns that may hinder or prevent timely billing and collections. The Billing/Payroll Specialist will ensure that all claims are submitted accurately and timely and will conduct the proper follow-up to ensure all claims are accepted and rejected claims are remediated. The primary responsibilities include ensuring that all processes, systems, reviews, and oversight required for billing are in place and monitored, billing is submitted timely, and that payments are received. Qualifications: Associates degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum two years of experience in Home Health required. Expert skills in use of EMR (Axxess, Availit, Waystar) billing portals and eligibility systems, CMS 1500, Sandata knowledge preferred, proficient in Excel and the ability to learn new software applications. Knowledge of regulations and requirements for specific areas of Home Health Care Agency billing and follow-up such as Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
