Interior Designer – Business of Home Join to apply for the Interior Designer role at Business of Home . Modern Nest is seeking a full‑time Interior Designer. Responsibilities Develop design concepts aligned with client goals and the Modern Nest aesthetic Produce design boards, plans, elevations, and detailed documentation Draft in AutoCAD/Revit/Rhino and review redlines, shop drawings, and technical details Source and specify furniture, fixtures, materials, finishes, and décor Assist with budgets, schedules, procurement, and project tracking Collaborate closely with contractors, vendors, fabricators, and consultants Support installations, walk‑throughs, and final styling Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, partners, and the internal team Bring strong experience while remaining open, adaptable, and eager to learn Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive, supportive studio culture Who You Are You’re passionate about thoughtful design, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and timelines. Qualifications Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field Minimum 3 years of professional residential design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and/or Rhino, plus Adobe Creative Suite Strong understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, millwork, and construction basics Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Based in Phoenix/Scottsdale with ability to attend on‑site meetings Fully authorized to work in the U.S. About Our Company Modern Nest specializing in elevated private residences and luxury spec homes. Our studio is seeking an experienced, full‑time Interior Designer to join our close‑knit, highly collaborative team. Reporting to the Design Director, the Interior Designer plays a key creative and project‑management role across all phases of high‑end residential work, including both renovations and new construction. We’re looking for a designer with 3+ years of professional experience, a strong and refined point of view, and an aesthetic sensibility that complements the Modern Nest style. We’re open to hybrid, remote, or freelance arrangements for the right candidate.
