Sierra Staffing Group is seeking a Legal Assistant for a 2 month contract for a well-respected and growing Law Firm located in the Reno, NV market. Qualified candidates will have 3-7 years of legal industry experience. These tasks will include working with attorneys, paralegals and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions. Therefore, the Legal Assistant candidate will have to have effective time management and organizational skills coupled with the ability to be detail oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and proofread complex legal documents (motions, subpoenas, discovery).
• File court documents in state and federal courts, understanding local rules.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Manage multiple attorneys’ calendars and litigation deadlines.
• Organize case files and assist in trial preparation.

Skills & Attributes:

• Solid understanding of litigation timelines and procedures.
• Can manage several cases at once with minimal oversight.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with court rules and e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF, PACER).
• Takes initiative and anticipates attorney needs.
