A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Licensing & Credentialing Specialist in Houston, TX !

The Licensing & Credentialing Specialist will be working for a leading healthcare organization and has career growth potential. See additional details below.

 

Licensing & Credentialing Specialist

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM
  • Work Location: Primarily Remote – Must reside in the Houston, TX area (occasional onsite meetings/trainings)
  • Pay Rate: $21–$24 per hour
  • Contract to Hire

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of out-of-state licensure and renewals for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) across multiple states.
  • Maintain an accurate and organized tracking system for license applications, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and complete submissions, including all required documentation (e.g., fingerprints, verifications).
  • Serve as liaison between APPs, internal departments, and state licensing boards.
  • Communicate proactively with providers regarding licensing changes and deadlines.
  • Maintain audit-ready, compliant records in the credentialing database.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows, and reference documents.
  • Collaborate with credentialing/compliance teams to support onboarding and privileging.
  • Assist in audits, compliance reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide occasional administrative support to the credentialing team as needed.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credentialing, licensing, medical staff services, or a detail-oriented healthcare admin role.
  • Preferred: 5 years in medical staff office or credentialing roles, especially with APP/NP/PA licensing.
  • Strongly preferred: Experience with multi-state licensing and virtual care support.
  • NAMSS certification a plus (CPCS or CPMSM).
