Description Position at JBS USA Purpose & Scope : This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols. Principle Responsibilities : 90% - Livestock movements: loading and unloading swine•10% - Other duties as assigned (feed haul, moving equipment, etc.)•Communication with various departments Travel: Local travel - approx. 30 mile local farm radius Required Qualifications : Valid Non-Expired Class A CDL•Live haul experience preferred, but not required•Strong communication and listening skills•Lift/Carry heavy objects approximately 60lbs•Constant walking, bending, pushing, pulling•Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently•Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics•Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment•Ability to work in inclement weather conditions Preferred Skills : 1 year driving experience preferred•Animal handling experience preferred but not required; will provide training•Ability to work in tight spaces; trailer compartment The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits : Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment; Paid Time Off : paid sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays; 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Better Futures Program - Online Classes or select 2 Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents!
