Production Floor Administrator – Manufacturing Support

The Opportunity:

The Production Floor Administrator is responsible for managing the flow of orders across manufacturing, ensuring that purchase orders, waxes, molds, and job cards are accurately matched and released to production in the correct sequence. This role supports efficiency and accuracy by tracking job progress, troubleshooting workflow issues, and maintaining clear communication between planning, production, and quality teams.

The position also serves as a professional bridge between Sales and Manufacturing , ensuring alignment on order requirements, priorities, and timelines. As experience grows, this role can progress from order entry and routing to advanced workflow management and process improvement responsibilities .

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive, log, and verify job orders; ensure all paperwork matches corresponding waxes and molds before release.
  • Route and push jobs to the appropriate production area according to established schedules and priorities.
  • Track and update job status in systems or manual logs, ensuring real-time visibility of work in progress.
  • Identify and flag missing or mismatched purchase orders, waxes, or molds for correction.
  • Troubleshoot workflow interruptions such as missing components, mold shortages, or stalled production jobs.
  • Communicate proactively with Sales, Planning, and Production teams to align expectations, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely updates.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process bottlenecks and recommending workflow enhancements.

What you’ll Need:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability; capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to bridge departments diplomatically.
  • High attention to detail in verifying and matching documentation and physical components.
  • Basic understanding of ERP/MRP systems or production tracking software.
  • Effective problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, production support, or administrative roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes or production order management is a plus.

Schedule/Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work FT M-F 7:30 AM- 4:00 PM
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, lift, reach, twist and walk on a regular basis throughout shift. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
