Job Description
Aegis is seeking mold makers for a client of ours near Glendale Heights, IL. They currently are running a 3 shift operation and have openings across each shift! The ideal candidate has the following experience:
· GED, High school degree.
· 7+ years of prior experience in Injection Mold Manufacturing
o Ideally someone that has done the building of new molds and repair work of existing molds. 70% is repair of the molds and 30% is new molds.
· Ability to utilize the following machinery: Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Manual Mills, Manual Lathes, Jig Grinders, and Surface Grinders.
· New Machine- CNC milling machine, have a hole popper- sinker EDM machine.
· Has EDM experience- tool maker has experience with EDM machines.
· Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to plastic injection molds
· MasterCAM experience
· Able to read and blueprints and CAD drawings.
· Experience with precision measuring tools- calipers, micrometers, gauges.
Pluses:
· CAD proficiency to include manipulation of mold designs and design of inserts/components – preferably in Solidworks.
· Additional schooling- most of them have some training or technical degree.
