Location: 164-50 Crossbay Boulevard, 1st Floor, Howard Beach, NY 11414 Hours: Part-time, 28 hours/week. Sunday 3:00pm - 10:00pm, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 6:50am - 2:00pm Specialty: Urgent Care Primary Responsibilities Prepare exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying medications Greet patients, assist with sign-in and paperwork Answer phone calls courteously and promptly Assist and accompany patients to exam rooms Interview patients and record information Measure, collect, and record vital signs Perform basic lab testing and other approved tests Display proficient phlebotomy practices Prepare specimens for lab transportation Assist in examination and treatment under clinician guidance Place follow-up calls to patients Perform other duties as required Travel and provide coverage to neighboring sites as needed Optum NY/NJ was formed in 2022, combining Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical, and ProHealth Care, serving NY, NJ, and Southern Connecticut. Required Qualification High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Certification in Medical Assisting Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.) Epic experience Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Bilingual (English/Spanish) The hourly range is $16.00 to $24.42, based on full-time employment, local labor markets, education, experience, certifications, etc. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, stock purchase, and 401k.
