A well-established, forward-thinking organization is seeking a Product Owner with deep claims expertise to lead critical initiatives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and customer experience. This isn’t your average claims role — it’s a chance to shape and execute high-impact work that directly influences key business decisions and outcomes.

If you're looking to step into a role that blends analytical precision, leadership, and strategic influence — all while working behind the scenes with high-level stakeholders — this is your opportunity.

  • Lead from the front by driving accurate coverage evaluations and setting claims strategy in complex and sensitive cases
  • Serve as the go-to authority on policy interpretation , ensuring clarity and consistency in coverage decisions
  • Oversee and direct investigative efforts to establish liability, assess damages, and mitigate risk
  • Engage external experts and legal partners to support strategic outcomes while managing costs effectively
  • Evaluate exposures and guide resolution pathways that balance risk and client service
  • Set and adjust financial reserves, ensuring alignment with company protocols and regulatory standards
  • Take the lead in negotiations, settlements, and complex mediations
  • Provide transparent, executive-level reporting on claims trends, costs, and outcomes
  • Uphold and influence internal quality standards while navigating evolving regulatory landscapes
  • Mentor and elevate team members, sharing technical expertise and best practices
  • Step into a leadership role when needed, acting on behalf of senior management during absences
  • Represent the organization externally on panels, forums, and confidential industry roundtables
  • Deliver targeted training and development sessions for internal teams and partners
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal claims guidelines, tools, and strategy frameworks
  • Present insights and loss trends to executive leadership in strategic review meetings
  • Lead vendor and litigation oversight efforts to optimize outcomes and control expenses

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Licensed (or eligible) claims professional
  • Minimum 10 years of claims experience, with at least 5 in a senior technical or leadership role
  • Recognized industry credentials (AIC, CPCU, SCLA, ARM, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional claims
  • Proven success in negotiations, arbitrations, and technical audits
  • Experience working cross-functionally with underwriting, legal, actuarial, finance, and distribution teams
  • Clear communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Comfortable presenting to executive stakeholders and external industry groups
  • Technically strong with policy language, coverage analysis, and strategic thinking
  • Skilled in managing vendors and external counsel with a focus on outcomes and value
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Confidential, high-impact position with exposure to executive leadership
  • Opportunity to drive claims excellence at scale while protecting the organization’s reputation and financial interests
  • Work with seasoned professionals in a values-driven culture that prizes integrity, innovation, and trust
  • Your work will be seen, your ideas will be heard, and your expertise will matter

If this sounds like the challenge you've been waiting for, we’d love to connect!
