The Senior Aftermarket Sales Engineer manages up to five key accounts while spearheading proactive outbound initiatives to maximus value from our market base. In addition to mentoring junior team members and maintaining customer relationships, the Senior Aftermarket Sales Engineer acts as the subject matter expert for complex technical inquires.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex technical challenges and parts replacement issues through expert diagnosis
  • Serve as the technical escalation point and mentor for junior team members
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of legacy equipment, parts supersession, and system configurations
  • Interpret complex mechanical drawings to identify correct replacement components
  • Provide expert consultation on product features, substitutions, and modifications
  • Liaise with Production, Manufacturing, Procurement, and vendors to secure accurate lead times and pricing
  • Prepare detailed quotations with precise pricing and delivery schedules
  • Maintain professional correspondence with customers and coordinate specialized support requests
  • Lead strategic outbound sales campaigns to drive aftermarket growth
  • Collaborate across departments to expedite orders and meet critical customer timelines
  • Ensure data integrity in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for key accounts and assets
  • Manage procurement of specialized non-stock replacement parts
  • Process complex orders and related administrative functions
  • Provide backup support for team supervision as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical aftermarket sales
  • Superior communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge with proficiency in reading technical drawings
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions in challenging situations
  • Extensive experience with manufacturing processes and factory environments
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery, pumps, motors, transmission components, and gear reducers
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM and ERP systems
  • Expert use of Microsoft Office and productivity applications
