Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our growing network of remote education specialists. This virtual position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a direct impact on student learning and munication accessibility in K-12 educational settings.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation services during virtual classroom sessions
• Facilitate munication between deaf and hard of hearing students and educators
• Support IEP meetings and educational planning sessions through remote platforms
• Collaborate with special education teams to ensure prehensive student support
• Maintain professional interpretation standards in virtual learning environments
• Document interpretation services and student engagement metrics
• Participate in virtual team meetings and professional development sessions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3.5 EIPA score (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
• 2 years of school-based interpretation experience
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience with virtual meeting platforms and educational technology
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and professional workspace setup
• Excellent munication skills and cultural petency
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

• 4.0 EIPA score or higher
• Written EIPA certification
• RID/NIC certification with written examination
• Previous remote interpretation experience
• Bilingual capabilities in additional languages
