Sr. Accountant (Retail & Wholesale)

This position will work closely with tightly-knit senior management and the CEO.
This Company is poised to grow 40+% over the next couple of years and we are looking for someone who has the vision to help assist with this growth.
The Sr. Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. They will assist leadership with information requests, and by supporting internal and external audit processes.
You should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are paramount.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Reconciling bank accounts
* Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
* Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
* Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
* Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
* Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
* Track and manage incoming/outgoing inventory and support a Point-of-Sale retail environment.
* Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
* Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
* Support admin in the running of payroll.
* Assisting top leadership as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Working knowledge of GAAP.
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
* Good problem-solving and time management skills.
* Be highly organized and be very detail-oriented.
* Experience with Point-of-Sales systems and inventory control.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
