What You’ll Do Drive full-cycle recruiting for high-priority technical roles, from sourcing to closing, with a focus on engineering, product, and research hires. Partner closely with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, team culture, and technical bar, then translate that into compelling outreach and an exceptional candidate experience. Own sourcing strategy—identifying, engaging, and nurturing talent from world-class companies, open source communities, and academic research. Build and maintain talent pipelines for future technical needs, leveraging direct sourcing, referrals, and outbound campaigns. Continuously raise the hiring bar by improving our interview processes, calibration sessions, and scorecarding for technical accuracy and candidate experience. Act as a brand ambassador—representing Granica’s technical mission and culture at every touchpoint. What We’re Looking For 5+ years in full-cycle technical recruiting in the Bay Area, ideally in high-growth startups or deep tech environments Proven track record closing senior-level and niche elite technical talent (distributed systems, database internals and PhD-level researchers and scientists) Technical literacy in lakehouse architectures, query engines, storage formats (Delta, Iceberg, Parquet), and large-scale cloud infrastructure—able to engage candidates on technical topics and assess for fit alongside engineering leadership Ability to design and execute strategic sourcing campaigns targeting niche talent pools, including open-source communities, academic research groups, and tech engineering teams High agency, bias for action, and comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment Passionate about building world-class teams and deeply invested in the problems we solve
