Join to apply for the Training Documentation & Implementation Coordinator role at Washington State Department of Transportation . The Washington State Ferries (WSF), a division of WSDOT, is seeking a Training Documentation & Implementation Coordinator to support the training and development of over 1,800 employees across Deck, Terminal, Engineering, and Eagle Harbor work groups. In this role, you will coordinate and document the full life cycle of training programsensuring that instructors, facilities, equipment, and materials are in place to deliver high-quality, regulatory-compliant training. From new employee orientation to specialized safety and certification programs such as STCW, CORE, firefighting, and lifeboat training, you will play a vital part in keeping our workforce prepared, compliant, and operationally ready.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and document the full life cycle of training programs, ensuring instructors, facilities, equipment, and materials are in place to deliver high-quality, regulatory-compliant training.
• Support new employee orientation and specialized safety and certification programs (e.g., STCW, CORE, firefighting, lifeboat training).
• Maintain training records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with training instructors, facility managers, and program stakeholders to ensure training effectiveness and readiness across WSF divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating training programs and managing the full lifecycle of training initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory training requirements and certifications such as STCW, CORE, firefighting, and lifeboat training.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work across multiple departments.
