• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico travel nursing jobs)\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n
• Start Date: March 9, 2026\n
• End Date: June 8, 2026\n
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Children's Hospital, Teaching Hospital\n
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)\n
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:5\n
• Scrub Color: Black\n
• Charting System: Cerner\n
• Parking: Free onsite parking\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Mexico or compact state; NM license can be pending at submission)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (Level I Trauma RN experience strongly preferred; exceptional candidates with 1.5 years considered)\n
• Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travel nurses with strong Level I Trauma experience may be considered\n
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be obtained before compliance due date)\n
• No RQI certifications accepted\n
• No local candidates within 75 miles of Albuquerque\n
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)\n
• Ability to float to Adult PCUs and ED Holding as needed\n

\n\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to trauma and resuscitation patients\n
• Administer IV and other medications following safety protocols and barcode scanning procedures\n
• Accurately document and communicate clinical findings using Cerner EMR\n
• Perform triage, manage acute and chronic conditions, and respond to emergency situations\n
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a busy Emergency Department\n
• Float to Adult Progressive Care Units (PCUs), ED Holding, and Trauma areas as needed\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services\n
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and complete required orientation and training modules\n
