Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture equipment to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction by using specific welding technique, and judgment to complete.
YOUR IMPACT \n - Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects
\n - and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques Determines layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements
\n - Welds according to Oshkosh AeroTech specifications
\n - Applies specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment in area of expertise
\n - Executes welds in all positions including from underneath to the side, in a variety of shapes such as in a tube, and more
\n - Assists during welding of components in areas of expertise
\n - Assists with design and set-up of work centers
\n - Troubleshoots problems, identifies, and communicates design discrepancies
\n - Completes required weld documentation including line check sheets, and material movement paperwork
\n - Moves weldment to the next process verifying it meets Oshkosh AeroTech specifications
\n - Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components, and weldments from one work or storage area to another as required
\n - Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area
\n - Practices good housekeeping in work area
\n - Responsible for understanding and following all Hazardous Waste Management duties and responsibilities
\n - Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion

QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience \n - High school diploma or GED
\n - Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience
\n - Two (2) or more years weld experience with at least one (1) years of experience in a similar environment
\n - Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
\n
\n
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): - Appropriate welding certifications, capable of meeting AWS D1.1 requirements, problem solving ability, crane and jib certification, and appropriate moving vehicle certifications
