Role As the Clinical AI Data Operations Manager, you will lead the development and scaling of the human-in-the-loop engine behind our medical AI models. You will be responsible for the systems, teams, and quality processes that ensure our clinical data is accurate, reliable, and ready for production. Responsibilities Hire and mentor a small, high-performing core team of Clinical Data Operations Specialists. Design and scale a pipeline to source, onboard, and maintain a large, high-quality pool of clinical contractors. Foster a strong contractor culture that is motivated, mission-aligned, and engaged. Implement robust QA systems including automation and expert validation with automated checks, peer review, and expert adjudication. Instrument quality and throughput across the system with rigorous metrics and feedback loops. Stand up a secure, centralized contractor portal for tasking, payments, and onboarding. Identify bottlenecks in the data lifecycle and lead tooling and process fixes to eliminate them. Qualifications 3+ years leading high-throughput, human-data programs in data-centric teams 1+ years of people management experience (hiring, coaching, performance) Proven success in managing data operations within high-performing ML teams Strong knowledge of annotation tools, QA workflows, and workforce management Comfortable with ambiguity and extreme ownership in a startup environment Willingness to work from our SF office ~3 days/week Bonus Experience managing highly skilled clinical or PhD-level annotators. Familiarity with medical data operations or HIPAA/PHI compliance. Proficiency in SQL or Python for automation and data analysis Compensation Pay transparency: The base compensation range is approximately $225,000-$275,000 per year, exclusive of equity.
