Your Tasks:

A Senior Technical Sales Consultant with additional responsibilities for training and coaching sales team members and implementing sales action plans to maximize sales and profitability of Miltenyi Biotec, Inc. through expert knowledge of market segments, technical expertise, and selling skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meet and/or exceed company sales budgets in a designated territory for assigned products through in-depth knowledge of market segments, technical knowledge, and sales skills.
2. Work with sales management to develop and implement territory business plans.
3. Be a regional technical and sales expert. Contribute to team success through mentoring and sharing information.
4. Contribute to team selling by collaborating with CAM/FCS/TSC/PM.
5. Participate in strategic market analysis with colleagues, manager, and marketing to identify potential opportunities to maximize sales.
6. Analyze data and develop action plans for sales targets, product categories, and territory-specific situations.
7. Lead seminars and presentations.
8. Create sales tools to support the sales team.
9. Serve as the go-to technical team leader.
10. Travel within the territory to meet with customers, perform product demonstrations, attend trade shows, and troubleshoot.
11. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support current and future business.
12. Use and comply with company policies on the electronic account management system (CRM) to document interactions and track opportunities.
13. Complete reports on business transactions and expenses promptly and accurately.
14. Provide market trend and competitive information to management for new product and marketing opportunities.
15. Maintain confidentiality of customer and technological information.

Requirements:

• Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. degree from a four-year college or university; Ph.D. preferred; 3-5 years of sales experience in the life sciences or equivalent education and experience.
• Background in Immunology and/or Molecular Biology is preferred.
• Experience with various sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and ability to access restricted government accounts.

Physical Demands:

Regular walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment. Ability to multitask and work quickly with attention to detail. Travel by car and plane required.

Work Environment:

Varied facilities, home office environment, customer site visits, exposure to natural elements, handling of research/clinical equipment following safety guidelines and SOPs, and use of PPE as trained. The role involves travel and physical activity.

The estimated salary range for San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and San Jose, CA is $146,982 - $198,858/year, plus performance incentives, benefits, and other compensation as applicable.
