The ideal candidate enjoys development as a hobby, explores new web frameworks and languages, and is meticulous about code quality. Contributing to open-source projects, experience with unit testing, continuous integration, and test-driven development are a plus. This position is based at Sony Electronics U.S. Headquarters in San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain high-quality web services and applications. Build scalable, high-throughput, low-latency cloud solutions. Write unit tests as part of the development process. Design APIs using RESTful and gRPC patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Qualifications: Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Golang, Python, Typescript, Rust, or Javascript. Experience writing unit tests during development. Familiarity with defining and validating data types using JSON Schema or Protocol Buffers (protobuf). Solid understanding of RESTful and/or gRPC design patterns. Experience building cloud solutions for high throughput and low latency. Strong understanding of client-server architecture and web services. Familiarity with serverless architectures and AWS. Preferred Qualifications: Experience contributing to open-source projects.
